…it occurred to me on my way home from up north today. My son started to complain about having to go to his football game this afternoon. Who could blame him, who the hell has flag football games played at 5 on a Sunday? Anyway, I was slightly happy for a minute but I shortly realized the importance of seeing things through. Does he hate going? He does. But he wanted to play and we signed him up. It’s a good lesson. It’s too easy for people to start something only to quit it shortly after starting it. Once they realize that it’s not all that they though it would be, they bail out. That sucks. See things through. If you don’t like it, don’t do it again, but finish what you started. If you never do it, why would your kids do it? Set an example.
